òL (Outside Lines) New York redefines forward-thinking style with a clean look that is easily adaptable into any wardrobe. Offering a range of apparel and accessories, we design for the style enthusiast of today who takes pride in looking and feeling good in what they wear. òL is a progressive source of fashion, an infusion of futuristic style and everyday parings. Additionally, òL New York is committed to maintaining ethical, sustainable and community centered practices. For this reason, all of our products are sourced and made in the USA.
History
òL was born in NYC during the winter of 2015. The energy of the city was the driving creative force behind oL’s inaugural offering titled “Backlash” and has remained within the core of the brand. òL pursues a multidisciplinary approach to design. Pulling inspiration from fine art, music, film, philanthropy and - most crucially, the mind of Founder and Creative Director Allen Aderotoye. òL second and third offerings, “Silver Spoon” and “Underdog” serve as continued meditations on the dualites, struggles and triumphs of life in the city.
Backlash
òL’s debut offering, Backlash, proposes an elevated everyday wardrobe with a razor sharp edge. An almost entirely black color palette combined with minimalist styling, brash gold zippers and opulent material choices all serve to aide the style enthusiast who finds themselves bent on raging a uniquely sophisticated rebellion.
Silver Spoon
òL’s sophomore offering uses the phrase “SilverSpoon” to explore the relationship between the increasingly entangled worlds of ‘high-art’ and the ‘low-brow’. By using the Silver Spoon as a dual symbol of both Privelige and Addiction this collection uses a color pallete of ever-present neutrals, raw edges, luxury tailoring and strategic distressing all to highlight the fruitful - though often dangerous - overlap of ‘high’ and ‘low’ culture.
Underdog
Drawing inspiration from 70s UK Punks and the Downtown Scene of NYC in the 90s the garments offered under the “Underdog” title are a meditation on what might happen if youth cultures grew up. Cozy knits, DIY inspired Satin Embroidery and a Brown & Pink color palette offer an equally elegant and disobedient answer.
